Eako

eako slider beltThe creators of Eako were driven by a sheer revulsion of landfill and no brand gets higher points for putting a waste material to an ideal use! Their firehose belts aren’t just an eco-gimmick but a trully smart solution and quality product. As a vegan I have to say I was excited to finally have a belt as sturdy and stylish as my leather-wearing comrades without having to go down the environmentally damaging road of most fake leathers.

“Not only are our products and packaging all made from reclaimed materials but we also donate 50% of our profits to charities related to those reclaimed materials” They are also handmade, longlasting and great looking- check, check, check!

Future plans for ethical scope of brand: While Eako would like to reduce costs to consumers they maintain that “it is vital for us that we keep the quality as high as possible so that we cam build maximum value back into the waste materials that we use – this way we can start to change people’s perceptions of their waste. “
